The short version

What a comp file needs.

A comp investigation should make the correct decision easier to reach, whichever way it goes. Most claimants are exactly as injured as they say. The file needs to be able to show that too, and continuous, unedited documentation is what does it.

More than twenty-five years of comp work, fully insured and bonded, statewide coverage, and reporting formatted to go straight into a claim file rather than be re-typed by an adjuster.

Reporting is continuous and unedited by policy. Edited surveillance footage is the first thing attacked at a hearing, and it deserves to be.

The work divides into three pieces that are usually run in that order. Records and prior claim history come first because they are cheap and they frequently answer the question on their own. Open-source and social review comes next. Field surveillance comes last, because it is the expensive part and it should be aimed rather than speculative - a claimant’s own posted schedule will often tell you which two days are worth covering.

What a carrier gets back is built for the file: a written report with an activity log, continuous unedited video including the hours where nothing happened, and an investigator who can be put on the stand at a contested hearing to speak to his own work. Certificates of insurance and license documentation are available the same day for vendor onboarding.
