What this is

Child Support, in plain terms.

Two problems come up over and over. Either nobody can find the other parent, or everybody can find them and they say they have nothing. Both are investigative problems before they are legal ones, and both are solvable with the same set of tools.

Locating is skip tracing: databases, public records, employment history, known associates, and then verification on the ground, because a record that says somebody lives at an address is not the same as somebody living there. Income is harder and more interesting - cash work, a business in somebody else’s name, a vehicle or a house that does not match the sworn financial statement.

The work

What actually gets done.

  • Skip trace and confirm a current residential address through records and then physically.
  • Identify current employment, including work paid in cash or through another party.
  • Search for business interests, registered entities and assumed names.
  • Run an asset search for vehicles, real property and other recorded holdings.
  • Document a standard of living that does not reconcile with a declared income.
  • Package the findings so your attorney or the Office of the Attorney General can act on them.

Marriage & Divorce

A record, not an argument.

Dates, places, durations and images, logged as they happen and delivered as a file your attorney can work from. Nothing about how it was gathered should ever become the argument.

What you get

At the end of it.

  • A verified current address, or a documented account of why one cannot be established.
  • An employment and business summary with the records behind it.
  • An asset report drawn from public and lawfully available sources.
  • A report written for a court filing, not for a scrapbook.

When people call

The three situations we hear most.

You cannot serve them because you cannot find them

Nothing proceeds until service happens. Locating the person is the whole bottleneck, and it is the part we do most often.

The sworn income does not match the life

A new truck, a boat, a remodel and a declared income of nothing is not an accusation, it is an inconsistency - and an inconsistency is documentable.

They are being paid in cash

Cash work leaves fewer records but it does not leave none. Observation of a work pattern is a record.

Questions

About this service.

Can you look at their bank accounts?

No. Account balances and transaction records are protected and obtaining them by pretext is a federal crime. An asset search works from public and lawfully available records - property, vehicles, entities, liens, judgments - which is generally what a court is looking at anyway.

Will this speed up enforcement?

We are not able to promise anything about how an agency or a court will move. What we can do is remove the two reasons cases stall: not knowing where the person is, and not being able to show what they earn.

What if they have left Texas?

We work statewide and we regularly trace people who have moved out of state. Tell us on the first call if you think they have gone, because it changes where we start.

Is the first conversation really free?

Yes, and it is confidential. You describe the situation, we tell you whether an investigation is likely to help, roughly what it would involve and what it would cost. There is no charge for that call and no obligation at the end of it.

Where we work

Four metros, and the rest of Texas.

Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio are where most cases start. Coverage runs to the whole state, and records and asset work is run nationally.

Free consultation

Describe the situation and we will tell you honestly whether an investigation would help, what it would involve and what it would cost. Confidential, no obligation, and no charge for the conversation.
