What this is
Child Custody, in plain terms.
Custody disputes run on two accounts of the same weeks, and a court cannot choose between them on tone. What moves a conservatorship matter is a record: dates, times, addresses, who was there, who was driving, whether the exchange happened where the order says it happens.
This work is done carefully and at a distance. Children are never approached, never spoken to, and never the subject of the surveillance - the adult and the circumstances are. We will also tell you plainly if what you are describing is a disagreement rather than a danger, because a thin custody investigation can do more harm to your position than none at all.
The work
What actually gets done.
- Document periods of possession: start, end, location and who collected or returned the children.
- Record whether the terms of the existing order are being followed, including exchange times and places.
- Identify other adults routinely present during the other parent’s time.
- Observe and log conditions at the residence or activity from lawful vantage points.
- Locate and interview third-party witnesses where there are any.
- Keep every observation at a distance that does not involve or unsettle the children.
Marriage & Divorce
A record, not an argument.
Dates, places, durations and images, logged as they happen and delivered as a file your attorney can work from. Nothing about how it was gathered should ever become the argument.
What you get
At the end of it.
- A dated log of each observed period of possession.
- Photographic support taken from public vantage points.
- A written summary organized the way a modification motion is argued.
- A straight assessment of whether what we found helps you or does not.
When people call
The three situations we hear most.
You are seeking a modification
A court that already made an order needs a reason to revisit it. A pattern on paper is a reason. A complaint is not.
The order is not being followed
Late returns, unauthorized overnights, exchanges that never happen where they are supposed to. Individually deniable, collectively a record.
You are worried about who is around your children
If someone has moved in, or is regularly present, you are entitled to know who that is. A background check plus observation answers it.
Questions
About this service.
Do you ever approach or photograph the children?
We do not approach them, speak to them or make them the subject of the work. Children appear in a surveillance record only incidentally, the way anybody in a public place does, and the investigation is aimed at the adult and the circumstances.
Can you tell me what happens inside the other parent’s house?
Not lawfully, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is no entering, no cameras through windows and no listening devices. What can be documented is who comes and goes, when, how long they stay, and what happens in public.
My ex says I am the one who is out of line. Should I still call?
Yes, and say that on the first call. Knowing the weak part of your own position changes how the investigation should be scoped, and it is far better to hear it from us than from the other side in a hearing.
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes, and it is confidential. You describe the situation, we tell you whether an investigation is likely to help, roughly what it would involve and what it would cost. There is no charge for that call and no obligation at the end of it.
