What this is

SSN Verification, in plain terms.

This is the least expensive thing the agency does and often the most useful, because it is where the rest of the investigation gets its starting point. A verification returns the names and the address history associated with a number, which you can then hold against the information you were given.

Two things usually come out of it. The first is confirmation that the person is who they said they were, which lets everything else proceed on solid ground. The second is a name nobody mentioned - a maiden name, a married name, a variation - and that other name is very often where the records that matter have been sitting all along.

The work

What actually gets done.

  • Verify the number against associated names and address history.
  • Surface other names in use, including previous and married names.
  • Compare the result against what you were told, item by item.
  • Flag inconsistencies that change how the rest of the case should be worked.
  • Produce the jurisdiction list that a criminal or civil records search then runs against.
  • Turn it around quickly, because everything else waits on it.

Background Checks

Searched where the records actually live.

County by county, court by court, agency by agency. The report says which jurisdictions were covered and which were not, because a search without its scope stated is not a search.

What you get

At the end of it.

  • A short written verification result.
  • An address history with dates.
  • Any additional names associated with the number.
  • A recommendation on what, if anything, is worth doing next.

When people call

The three situations we hear most.

You are starting a bigger investigation

Almost every case begins here, because it determines where to search.

The information you were given is thin

A name and a city is not much. A verified history is a great deal more.

You suspect a name is not the whole story

Other names in use is the single most common finding, and the most productive.

Questions

About this service.

Is this legal? It feels like it should not be.

It is, when it is done for a permissible purpose through lawful channels, which is how we do it. We do not access Social Security Administration systems and we do not obtain anything by pretext.

What does it not tell me?

It is not a criminal history, an asset search or a credit report. It establishes identity and address history. Its value is as a foundation, not as an answer.

How fast is it?

Usually the same day or the next. It is designed to be the step that does not hold anything up.

Is the first conversation really free?

Yes, and it is confidential. You describe the situation, we tell you whether an investigation is likely to help, roughly what it would involve and what it would cost. There is no charge for that call and no obligation at the end of it.

Where we work

Four metros, and the rest of Texas.

Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio are where most cases start. Coverage runs to the whole state, and records and asset work is run nationally.

Free consultation

Tell us what is going on. The first call is free.

Describe the situation and we will tell you honestly whether an investigation would help, what it would involve and what it would cost. Confidential, no obligation, and no charge for the conversation.
