What this is
Workers Compensation, in plain terms.
Risk management has a hard job: protect the bottom line without treating every claimant as a liar, because most of them are not. What an investigation should produce is a factual record of a claimant’s activity that supports whatever the right decision turns out to be - and sometimes the right decision is to pay it.
A True P.I. has been investigating comp claims for more than twenty-five years. The agency is fully insured and bonded, the work is documented to the standard a hearing expects, and the reporting is built to drop into a claim file rather than to be re-typed by an adjuster.
The work
What actually gets done.
- Activity checks and surveillance on the days and hours the claim makes relevant.
- Video documentation of physical activity, with timestamps and continuous context rather than selected clips.
- Background, prior claim and employment history research.
- Social media and open-source review of public activity.
- Locate and interview witnesses and co-workers.
- Recorded statements where the file needs them.
Workers Compensation
Continuous, unedited, and dated.
Full coverage of the observed period with an activity log, including the hours where nothing happened. Edited surveillance video is the first thing attacked at a hearing.
What you get
At the end of it.
- A written report formatted to go straight into the claim file.
- Unedited video with an accompanying activity log.
- Continuous coverage of the observed period, including the periods of inactivity.
- An investigator who can testify at a contested hearing.
When people call
The three situations we hear most.
The claimed restriction does not match the report
A documented hour of ordinary activity settles more files than an argument does.
There is a prior claim history
Pattern research is cheaper than surveillance and often answers the question first.
A hearing is coming
Documentation gathered for a hearing has to be gathered to that standard from the start.
Questions
About this service.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes. The agency is fully insured and bonded and holds Texas investigations license #12818. We can provide certificates for your vendor onboarding.
Do you edit the video?
No. You receive continuous, unedited footage with an activity log. Edited surveillance video is the first thing attacked at a hearing, and it should be.
Can you get on our vendor list?
That is the intention. We handle claims statewide, we carry the coverage, and we can meet the documentation and turnaround requirements of a carrier panel.
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes, and it is confidential. You describe the situation, we tell you whether an investigation is likely to help, roughly what it would involve and what it would cost. There is no charge for that call and no obligation at the end of it.
Where we work
Four metros, and the rest of Texas.
Houston, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio are where most cases start. Coverage runs to the whole state, and records and asset work is run nationally.
Free consultation
Tell us what is going on. The first call is free.
Describe the situation and we will tell you honestly whether an investigation would help, what it would involve and what it would cost. Confidential, no obligation, and no charge for the conversation.
