What this is
Pre-Marital Investigation, in plain terms.
Asking for this feels disloyal. It is not. You are about to merge your legal and financial life with somebody, and the same verification any business would do before a partnership is ordinary prudence before a marriage. Most of these investigations end with a short report that says everything checks out, and the person who ordered it sleeps better.
The ones that do not are the reason the service exists. A second marriage nobody mentioned. A different name with a different history behind it. Judgments, liens or a bankruptcy that will become yours in practice the day you sign. Better found now, quietly, than in a deposition later.
The work
What actually gets done.
- Verify identity and name history, including previous and assumed names.
- Confirm marital history and whether any prior marriage was actually dissolved.
- Search criminal and civil records in the jurisdictions the person has lived in.
- Check public financial records: judgments, liens, bankruptcies and recorded property.
- Verify the employment and education history you have been given.
- Confirm whether the person is who they say they are online, and whether that is consistent.
Marriage & Divorce
A record, not an argument.
Dates, places, durations and images, logged as they happen and delivered as a file your attorney can work from. Nothing about how it was gathered should ever become the argument.
What you get
At the end of it.
- A written report covering every item checked, including the ones that came back clean.
- Copies of the supporting records we obtained.
- A clear statement of what could not be verified and why.
- Complete confidentiality. This is between you and us.
When people call
The three situations we hear most.
You met recently, or met online
A shorter history means fewer people who can vouch for the story. Verification fills that gap.
Money is about to be combined
A house, a business, a blended family. Debt and judgments of record follow the person into the marriage in ways people do not expect.
Something small has never quite added up
A vague year, a job nobody can name, a family nobody has met. Usually it is nothing. Occasionally it is the whole thing.
Questions
About this service.
Is this legal?
Yes. Everything in a pre-marital investigation comes from public records and lawful verification. We do not access private accounts, private communications or protected data, for you or for anybody.
Will they be told?
No. The work is done from records and from lawful inquiry, and nothing we do puts your name in front of them.
What if it comes back clean?
That is the most common result, and it is worth what you paid for it. You get a report that says so, and you stop carrying the question.
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes, and it is confidential. You describe the situation, we tell you whether an investigation is likely to help, roughly what it would involve and what it would cost. There is no charge for that call and no obligation at the end of it.
